The following is a list of local resources our members may find helpful in supporting individuals with special needs.
Become BEST — A Sioux City clinic that provides specialized care, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder. Parent resources and other events for all children with special needs are also provided here.
Bethink — A Sioux City clinic that provides mental health care to children, adolescents, and adults. Mental health therapy, psychiatric medication management of symptoms, and psychological diagnostic evaluations are available here.
Childworks Therapy Clinic — A Sioux City clinic that provides specialized care to infants, children, and adults experiencing feeding, swallowing, communication/speech, and myofunctional difficulties.
The Pier Center for Autism — A Sioux City organization that provides care for children, teenagers, and adults with autism spectrum disorder
Siouxland Regional Transit System — Transportation services for those who require ADA accessible vehicles.
Special Olympics Iowa — Sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship.
Stride Autism Centers — With locations in Sioux City, Illinois, Nebraska, and Iowa, Stride Autism Centers provide a full day Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy program for children aged 2 to 6 years.
